Age: The Lone Power has no age, because It was created along with the other Powers That Be by the One before time began. However, It is currently wearing the body of a man who is 36 years old.
Physical Appearance: Can take on any form, but always accompanied by some form of darkness. Those who know how will recognize It by a cruel smile and a proud tilt of the head, a whispered hint of immense power and unspeakable, ancient beauty, and the pain of never allowing Itself the joy of the creation for which It was made or the satisfaction of seeing Its work complete. Here and now, the Lone Power wears a human male avatar. Tall, slim, with golden hair and cold blue eyes, It seems both insouciant and meticulous at once.
Education: Powers are made, not educated. Though finding that the other Powers didn't like Its invention, and learning that They would cast It out for it, that was pretty educational.
Occupation: Being a Power That Be. Being the Power That Be that invented entropy, and that continues to promote death and decay and darkness wherever It can.
Significant Other: None.
Sexual Preference: None.


Character Biography:

History: When the One first made the multiverse, It made the Powers That Be, Beings that would help It with the task of creation. The Morning Star was the eldest and the brightest and the first among these Powers, but while the other Powers went about creating planets and creatures and Life, the Eldest Power bided Its time, working on one truly unique and magnificent creation. When It finally presented Its creation to the other Powers, they were aghast, for It had created entropy. Now, death would come in time to the life They had created. They cast It out of Timeheart and rejected Its gift (though They could not undo it), and the Lone Power spent aeons in the darkness between universes before finding Its way back again. Having returned, It visited every world where life was newly sentient, and offered their representatives a Choice. It could redeem them from death (or give them great power, it didn't matter much to the Lone One), if they would turn away from the other Powers and join It instead. The One Who Decreed Darkness also spends Its time bringing general torment and darkness to Its enemy, Life, as much as possible.

However, in recent times, It has been changed by some encounters with wizards. By re-writing Its name and then by tricking it into accepting Its own redemption, It was allowed back into Timeheart--except that there are facets of the Lone Power still at large within Space and Time, facets that have not come to terms with this redemption. This particular one--though reduced in power or perhaps not wanting to use Its full power--has been living in a man's body in this universe, dormant.

Personality in seven words or less: Haughty, proud, angry, stubborn, anguished, dark, vindictive.
How Others Perceive Your Character: Darkness surrounds the Lone One in full manifestation. The natural reaction in any living being is fear, but also recognition, for a little shard of It exists in everything that was created. On the other hand, before and after It fell, the Morning Star was always astoundingly beautiful and powerful in Its beauty--that's what makes It so good at temptation.

At times, the Lone Power will step back or experience a lull in power in this avatar, and the avatar's self will be stronger. In those times, the Power may be less evident and more able to trick those who do not know It into thinking It is only a man.
Beliefs, Convictions, Morals: It was gypped. The other Powers should have recognized Its gift and Its dominion. Now all living things must be subverted to darkness and entropy or destroyed.
Reason(s) for Escaping to Canada: It noticed the arrival of Dairine Callahan in this universe. That is a wizard who merits Its attention.
